research-album covers

I like this album cover because the photograph was taken on the location with good lighting. It is also very interesting with the bark and her holding the flower. The cover shows the name in the photo 'anywhere i lay my head'.

I like this album cover because its different with the artists in the middle surrounded by the graphics. The cover is also very bold and shows the name of the album which could show the theme of the band themselves. Also, i like that the cover is black and white because it could also show the boldness of the artists.

Phil Collins - Going Back (Official Video 2010)

I like this video because it shows Phil singing with his backing singers in a plain studio then in parts of the video it shows clips of his own childhood. Again this is very ironic, just like the album cover, it shows his feelings for his family and his past.

phil collins

This is the cover of Phil Collins latest album 'going back'. The picture is in black and white which could show the 'olden days' which he is singing about his childhood in his newest song. On the cover is a photo of Phil when he was in his youth- again it shows the irony of the name of the album, song and his famous drum playing.

Phil Collins is a very famous artist for his Motown inspired songs and his skills at drumming. He has won seven Grammies, two golden globes and an Oscar. Phil has also sold 100 million solo records and 150 million with Genesis.

This is the cover of Phil Collins album of 'the very best of'. Again the cover of his album has Phil Collins himself and his famous drums and it shows an 70's-80's theme... he become most recognisable in those times.

Both of these images are very similar, they both have Phil in the same position of him sitting down with the drum. The images are also shot in thirds both vertically and horizontally. There are a few differences in the covers like one was taken in the studio and the other taken on site. One cover is black and white and 'The very best of' is colour.
