I-movie characters

For the i-movie the two main and only characters will be the cat (puss in boots) and the guy (french man). These two will be replacing the hand made puppets, that we were going to make this week. The characters are both going to black and white as the background is in colour, this is supposed to make the characters stand out better.
Puss in boots- he is going to be the mysterious cat who is the good guy in the short movie.
French man-  is supposed to be the baddie in the short movie who has a meeting with the cat.

Photo background

These photographs are the ones my group is using for the pinned up background. They are from the quiet area with a mixed amount of foliage and the common day town.
These are film photographs which we got developed by Boots through out the week, we then had to use the scanner to make any improvements and to be ready for the imovie to be made.

The group has had a little bit of a problem with the photo shoot we had done previously, this was, the only photographs that was good to use were four photos of a quiet area. This means the original idea with the puppets and the pinned up background of 5x3 photographs could not be used as only four turned out good. So to resolve this problem we had to scan the photographs onto the desktop, then upload the scans into photo shop to make the 2d image move by photo shop. Then with these images we would load them into i-move to make our movie and hopefully they would not notice the difference. Also, now with the extra week we was going to use mostly to make the movie as good as possible has been cancelled and made into a presentation time, we do not know wither we will be able to make it complete in time. 

These few weeks...

Last week my group - me & Megan- went out to find the location for our stop motion video, we went to many places in Burton to see what was appropriate to use as our pinned-up background. We choose to shoot at different locations such as the burger bar in the town, a green area near the park and a quieter place outside of the car park. I found this photo shoot was unsuccessful as only one background photographs were any good - the quieter place was the better photographs, the other two places the images were dark and fuzzy. Even though, not all the photographs was good we are still going to use the quieter place as the pinned up background for the video and I'm sure we don't need to reshoot, otherwise, this would be wasting the time we need to make the puppets and the final video.
This week and the next we should be concentrating on making the puppets which are the main features in the video - mostly doing this in the first week. This means we should be making them to be ready for shooting next week as well if things go to plan. also, we should be able to pick the music for the video.
There has been another idea given to the whole group that we are not using the last two weeks for making the movie and puppets instead the last week is going to used as a presentation, to show every bodies work what they have done since September.
